Sapulpa is the perfect place to plan your event.
Sapulpa is the perfect place to have your next celebration whether its a special birthday, anniversary, corporate event or a wedding. It is close enough to Tulsa yet far enough away from the hustle of its traffic on the East and father away from Oklahoma City going West. Sapulpa is a charming town among rolling hills established by Indians, and famous for its railroads, discovery of oil, and celebrated for Old Highway 66. Sapulpa and Tulsa claim about 230 days of sunshine and 4 distinct seasons each year that keep it changing and interesting.
Sapulpa has quaint shops and has become quite popular as the number 1 Holiday destination in Oklahoma for its Christmas Chute where they block off Dewey Street and make it a huge, decorated tunnel of lights and hanging Christmas decorations for the public to walk historic Route 66 under canopies filled with Christmas ornaments and decor in 10 magical themes!
Sapulpa is close to Keystone Lake, Pretty Water, and Heyburn Lake. Sapulpa features an old fashion drive in theatre, a historical museum, and many antique shops and boutiques of Oklahoma art, rustic furniture, and western wear. Sapulpa has some unique and very friendly restaurants like Senor Pablos featuring Mexican cuisine, Sam’s Eatery serving seafood, and Crossroads Cookery built in an old renovated 1900’s building with many antiques and old pictures showing life in the 18th century.

Plan Your Activities
A trip to Tulsa area wouldn’t be complete without a visit to The Gathering Place on 31st and Riverside. It is a premier riverfront park that offers activities for all ages and it completely free of charge. Visit other famous spots like The center of the Universe, the Philbrook Museum of Art, which was the former residence of Waite Phillips who got rich in oil in 1920. One can stroll through the 23 acres of beautiful gardens and have lunch in their beautiful restaurant. Take in a show at the Tulsa Performing Arts or the listen to music by the Tulsa Symphony Orchestra, or catch a performance at the BOK performance center, visit Oral Roberts University or Rhema Bible College. Take the children to Discovery Lab and Garden for some interactive fun or the World of Tulsa Air and Space Museum or Tulsa Raceway Park. One can learn about the history of Oklahoma at the Gilcrease museum surrounded by beautiful gardens or visit the Oklahoma Aquarium where you will walk through a tunnel to experience fish swimming around you.
For a wedding, one of the activities would be to visit our Creek County Court house at 222 East Dewey in Sapulpa and get a marriage license. Both groom and bride must be present and must bring license or birth certificate or passport. The cost is $50 cash unless you have completed your pre marriage counseling. If the couple has proof of completed counseling signed by a church representative, pastor, or health professional, it only cost $5 cash. License must be recorded within 10 days of issuance.
